Disney Making Live action versions of the classic animated movies

 Here’s the answer: money.

They’re doing it for the money.

They’re not doing it for the art. They’re not doing it to test the limits of technology. They’re doing it because they’re Disney and people will pay money to see these films based off of better versions that came out when they were children.

Let me ask you a question: Do you think that in the 30’s, Walt Disney was like this:

Oh, I have an artistic vision that I wish to create in live action, but the budget for special effects would be too high! The only way I can hope to achieve a semblance of my vision is to animate it instead.

No. He didn’t. Walt Disney did not create Snow White because it was the only way to achieve his vision. Or rather, it was the only way to achieve his vision because he knew that there was something magic in animation.

Live action adaptations are not magic. At least not usually. I’m serious, omitting superhero movies, there is exactly one. One live action adaptation of anything that I think added to its source material in a positive way. And that is Edge of Tomorrow, one of my favorite movies of all time.

I don’t want to watch a live-action Beauty and the Beast. Because it’s not giving me anything I can’t already get that’s better than the animated version. I don’t want to watch a live-action Cinderella. I don’t want to watch a live-action Mulan, or Aladdin, or The Jungle Book. Making something that was animated and putting it into the live-action is not a step forward. It’s a step backward.

Let me ask you real quick. What if Pixar started remaking their movies in live-action? Do you think they’d be better than the originals? Okay, Cars might be better than the original. But these movies work because they’re animated. When your only goal is to bring your catelogue of animation to reality, you’re not making reality magical. You’re making something once magic… mundane.

Case(s) in point:

This is so frustrating.

If you liked this wonderful answer, maybe you’ll like my book!

It’s a science-fiction/fantasy adventure with mystical powers and jokes and video games and battles and stuff! If you like cartoons, animesuperheroes, and cool s**t, you will most likely love this book.

This year the Disney had released the wish . If you are interested in the Wish Asha Dress Cosplay Costumes , please go and have a look then.
