My review about DC New Movie Flash 2023

 Probably controversial, but I really did enjoy The Flash movie. Minor spoilers for the CGI and cameo.

It’s not as good as No way home, Guardians 3, or Across the Spider-Verse. and it is certainly not the best DCEU film or the best movie since The Dark Knight. But I really did enjoy it, and I find it to better than Dr. Strange 2 (I will probably make an answer on that soon).

But it’s still a pretty good and solid movie overall. But there are some big heavy flaws. Of course

1. The Horrible CGI

while this movie does not have the worse offended CGI, for a movie that had praise from James Gunn, Stephen King, Tom Cruise, the CGI and visuals look bad. Mosto f the CGI look good, but then you get scenes like this

You can tell the visuals dont look that good and cartoony. Also, the fact that Warner Bros had the audacity to use deceased actors as cameos was horrendous, disrespectful, and disgusting

but other than that? I really did enjoy the movie. The first is

1. The performances

Lets talk about Ezra Miller

ezra miller is a complete criminal, and its insane on how Warner Bros cut Henry Cavill but kept Ezra Miller, even with the crimes Ezra Miller committed.

But if I’m talking about the performance of Ezra Miller and how good Ezra Miller acted? Call me crazy but it was…. pretty good

It’s not as good as Grant Gustin, but it was genuinely good and Ezra Miller can pull off emotional acts which is great. I like Ezra Miller’s performance and how much effort Miller is putting in here

I think it was a smart way for Warner Bros to put two Flashes together because in case Ezra Miller may get annoying, he is paired up with another annoying younger version of himself and it has an interesting dynamic that shows Ezra Miller is skilled, even if they are a criminal.

I would like to think of Regular Barry Allen as “Snyder Cut” Barry allen, while younger Barry Allen as “Josstice League” Barry Allen. I still wished we got Grant Gustin as the main lead of Flash where he accidentally got transported here

but anyway, Sasha Calle as Supergirl was great, and I hope she is the main DCU Supergirl and James Gunn keeps her considering she had to do the entire press by herself

I dont have a problem with Sasha Calle’s Supergirl being different from Melissa Bonnet, considering Sasha Calle is an “alternate” version of Supergirl

She looks pretty though, I will give her that

and of course, we got to talk about Michael Keaton as Batman

i dont like Michael Keaton as Batman in the past, considering his version murders people and smiles. But this movie made me appreciate him, and I like how Michael Keaton is actually putting in effort and not phoning it in. Most of the best action scenes involve him

He feels more “comic” accurate to Batman. And Ben Affleck at least had a decent send-off as Batman

I wish we got to see more of him. But I want Ben Affleck to rest and leave this role.

I also really like the action in this movie, it doesnt involve a lot of shaky camera and I can see the action and the stunts, even with the CGI. I like the speed and seeing how fast Barry allen is

DCEU Flash is the only guy to slow down time and have super speed at the same time. Pretty powerful.

but at the end of the day, even with the terrible CGI, what I really liked about The Flash was

The emotional ending

Sure, its a multiversal movie that deals with alternate universes. But at its core, its an emotional movie about a guy who does not know how to process grief.

we have some funny moments and comic book dumb fun moments. But it still packs an emotional and powerful punch and we have far more emotional scenes in The Flash than Dr strange 2. I like how this movie dealt with Barry Allen actually processing his emotions and how he came to terms with his mother.

this movie had more of an emotional impact on me than majority of post pandemic superhero movies (except Across the Spider-Verse, Guardians 3, The Batman, and No Way Home)

So overall, I did enjoy this movie. This movie isnt as good as Across the Spider-Verse and Guardians 3. But its still an entertaining movie that didnt live up to the potential. I’m feeling a little generous today and this review might change. Who knows.

So I am going to give this movie an 8 out of 10.

Beyond all, I love the supergirl costume there. The Flash 2023 Kara Zor-El Cosplay Costumes
